As a lover of BBC Sherlock, I really enjoyed this book because I picked up on all kinds of references to the text from the show. Overall, it was good, although I could have done without the whole Utah backstory thing.

as i’ve only read sherlock holmes’ short stores prior to this, i greatly enjoyed the first part. i loved the introduction of both holmes and dr. watson

the second part was literally there to explain in detail abt their pasts, but i feel like hope’s storytelling would’ve been enough. but maybe it wouldn’t feel as “deep”.

still a fun & enjoyable read though

El inicio de las historias de Sherlock Holmes y el doctor Watson es una ligera novela de dos partes bien marcadas, tanto que me tuvo intrigado y dudé de si la segunda parte iba a calzar con la primera, hasta que lo hace de manera bastante inteligente y me atrevo a decir adelantada a su época, jugando con las líneas temporales como si fuese una historia moderna.
Otra cosa que me llamó la atención fue que gran parte de la novela está narrada como si fuese el diario de Watson, es por eso que es al primero que conocemos tras su paso por el ejército y recalando en Baker Strret de Londres, con un roomate experto en el razonamiento deductivo.
