Very frustrating read. Nothing was thought out. The MC was just whisked off to this “unorthodox” recovery place, and even if you can suspend disbelief about it later on the cost of it becomes a talking point creating a huge plot hole for how the other patients can afford to stay there FOR YEARS??
All of the characters read like teenagers only to be reminded they’re ALMOST 30??? The power dynamics between them and the facility workers made zero sense especially considering they were all most likely the same ages???
Then out of nowhere it’s a murder mystery?? Then there’s a serial killer??? Mental health was in no way represented well in this, AT ALL. The spice often read juvenile and cringe. This book did many things poorly due to lack of clear direction.
Very close to DNFing, honestly skimmed most of the ridiculous “Crosby” arc.

Second half of the book/plot kind of lost me. I thought the Crosby storyline was odd and slightly out of place some cute parts!

So booktok was giving this book a lot of hype so I wanted to see what it was all about but I just couldn’t get into the book. I told myself to at least read the first 100 pages or try to go to atleast 50% into the book. I went all the way to 84% and I DnF it. I’m not saying that someone else wouldn’t like it but me personally I just didn’t get into it.
This psych/medical portion was wholly unrealistic. It got to a point where I could no longer suspend my belief. Just no.
There needed to be so much more therapy happening here and a lot less sex and murder mystery solving. And the Crosby storyline was absolutely ridiculous. I was so hoping this book was going to devastate me but it just pissed me off

I thought this book was going to be about two people getting help for their problems as well as finding love but apparently their ‘cure’ was love 🧍♀️ it was so dumb and could have done with being several hundred pages longer. There was no real character development and and the mystery wasn’t really mysterious. Only 2 stars because some of the quotes were good.
