My first 2 Star rating for a Sheldon book! The book started really well and did manage to keep me engrossed as long as the female lead character, Leslie's story went on. The introduction of a new female character - Dana kept me waiting for some unexpected twist, which just didn't happen. No "Oh-what-just-happened" moments in this entire book!!
What I really didn't like was the ending. I felt an injustice to Leslie's character & that all that she did was in vain. Disappointed in Sheldon for the first time!!
This novel is definitely not a must read & can be skipped!!

The Best Laid Plans by Sidney Sheldon was so bad that I couldn't believe it was actually a published book! It was a joke! the whole thing was an actual joke!

2.5 ⭐
The synopsis and the first few chapters of this book admittedly had me hooked. That was up until the plotline did not just veer off to another direction — it took a whole other road. The entire focus was shifted to other characters, which were important for sure, but it was done in such an irrelevant and unnecessary way. At a point the story did not even talk about the two main characters, Oliver and Leslie.
I was also so excited to know more about Leslie but Sheldon painted her in such a negative light from the middle of the book that I, frankly, got annoyed. The crime and suspense bit in the second half was interesting to read but, as I said, it was half-assed considering it was not the expected plot.
