so many metaphors, meanings, etc. this book can be hard to sift through at times but it is beautifully written. my perfectionism makes this a challenging read because i know that i won’t get the full meaning from one read, two reads, or 100 but to try to absorb and connect and reflect is all that can be done. artful and subtle commentary on current and past politics and human relationships
