- Plot- or character-driven? Plot
A middle grade graphic novel with some violence. Would recommend reading book one before this.

This was a pretty satisfying conclusion to the series but not quite as strong as book one. The art is beautiful, as always, and the plot is well paced until the end. It felt rushed and I had hoped there was going to be three books for the three cities, but this is the end. I do hope we get to see more from Victoria Ying in the future!

While there are parts of the story I wish Ying had gone into more detail in or used flashbacks to tell more about, I did enjoy this book. I liked the characters that were added. Though, again, I wish we had more time to learn more about them. The resolution struck me as slightly cheesy, but I like the idea behind it.
This is definitely a fun, fast paced story.
