Fantastically funny and the best descriptions of daily life with chronic physical and mental illness. She rocks!
Jenny is honestly so funny. Her descriptions of her mental health struggles are so insightful as well as hilarious. I can understand why not everyone gets her humor, but she is genuinely so witty. It is SO important to take a step back and care for yourself. You are worth being here.

You know that scene in Return of the Jedi where the Ewoks are making that "ooh-who-oo" sound when worshiping C-3PO? Basically that's how I feel about Jenny Lawson.
As someone in her "tribe" my heart would soar and shrink along with her stories of battling mental illness. I actually put this down for a bit because... I'm not sure exactly. It was healing to read, but I also had to balance it with fiction/ fantasy for a bit of an escape from the resulting self-examination.
I have a few people in my life that NEED this book, but I'm not sure that my amazing talent for guilt-tripping would work in this case. I think people have to come to this book on their own. That doesn't mean I can't buy it for them, if only to lessen their chances of finding a dead body in a bathroom stall. Obviously.
Thank you Jenny, for your honesty, love, and integrity. You are an amazing neurotic golden robot of inspiration.

I liked her 1st book more, however, I really appreciate how she addressed her own mental illness in the 2nd book. This is a very raw and honest account on what she goes through on a daily basis...and she never loses her sense of humor which is incredible. I truly admire her writing and I love her as a person for her honesty. So jealous that my girlfriend got to meet her.
