I just could not find it within myself to care about her sadness over Elijah. I skipped ahead in the book and I don’t like the writing either. The MMC is way to forceful with his possessiveness (I like a possessive man, but this one didn’t sit right really) and I don’t like that she writes in passed tense.

Reese just wanted to follow her dream and somehow it all clicked together, just not the way she thought.
Ashlee Rose's writing seems to get better and better with every book she writes. She easily pulls you into the story and then doesn't let you go until you read the words 'the end' and then even then you're thinking about the characters after!

From start to finish this book was amazing!! So much angst. Super spicy and holy unexpected plot twist! I felt all the emotions with this book. I was happy, excited, angry, I cried at one point…ok many points but anywhooo lol I highly recommend this book! I think I read it in a day. I really loved this book, honestly anything Ashlee writes is phenomenal and I cannot wait for the 2nd book to come out!
I went into this book blind, thinking it would be a dark romance, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Grief, accidental marriage, age gap, millionaire possessive alpha male, forbidden love (best friend's dad). Ahh this book was SOOO good!! The praise kink in this book was superb. I loved the chemistry between Reese and Killian. 4☆
