Story who? Character development who? This is the most absurd book I have ever read. For any soap opera fans this would be great, because it had so many plot twist and unexpected revelations that I lost count.

Mediocre

Honestly, both the MC’s were little cry baby b*tches. The book was meh. It was too back and forth and the communication between the characters was awful. The reason I’m giving this one star is because of Connie. I actually liked her character. She was funny and called the MC’s out on their sh*t. The one star for this book is for Connie. I will read Connie’s book, but god damn this book was awful.

Rate 2/5:
The first 100 or so pages- depressing as hell.
The sex scenes- not bad at all.
The MCs- emotional rollercoasters and it made me want to puke. That’s all folks.
Also some baphoonery at the end I literally stopped reading for a day .

A skip

I skipped over 300 pages after the first 20 pages, still understood majority of what was going on. It was boring and predictable. After that I skipped to the end and hated it. I normally feel bad about leaving harsh reviews but this book objectively just not good. It’s poorly written and the plot is paper thin at best.

Killian sucks as a partner. Connie sucks as a friend. Reese is as interesting as a wet napkin. And not to mention using Wicca/metaphysical ideals without truly capturing the essence of the craft. And lastly, their breakup-wake up-make up relationship is wholly unappealing and overdone. Very trope heavy and a skippable read.

Instagram recommendations have really let me down lately.

This book was entirely too long. I'm not sure if the author didn't have an editor or what but this could have been pared down. There were obvious signs that this author doesn't know the difference between colloquial speech and formal writing. Just because we would say it that way doesn't mean its correct, and it will in fact read super weird.
Reese spends the whole book talking about how much she crys and how sad she is ALL the time. This leads her to feeling like she betraying her dead fiance, I get grief but come on she is allowed a single ounce of happiness.
She is supposed to be 27 but has the maturity of a 20 year old, so maybe that's why she's insta-besties with a 21 year old.
Kilian was gross with his over the top, aggressive possessiveness of a women he's barely fucked.

Overall, i do not recommend. Finished the book literally thinking wtf, what a waste of time.

No tears we shed while reading this. They were close, but not a tear was shed. Even during the parts that were heartbreaking. It was close when Reese was speaking with the fortune teller, though.

Poor sweet Reese. Being head over heels in love and planning a future with someone, only to have him ripped away from her so tragically is a horrid thing to go through. It is regretful that it took two years and moving to a different country before she started to mend.

Where does someone find a champagne bar? Those sound fun. Especially if hansom men will be there.

I liked the book but there is one thing that kept annoying me like to the point where I was gonna put the book down was the amount of times they mentioned her hair colouring, we know she's a blond, it was said in the first chapter but it was brought up constant throughout the book eg 'honey blond hair was pulled up' or 'my golden, honey blonde hair'. we know! i know this was a silly thing to say and am laughing as I write this but oh my god did it annoy me lol

I was very confused through the entire book. The friendship + the relationship? The only thing that wasn’t confusing was the * plot twist* the smut was great though!
