Overall, "The Magic of Thinking Big" is a solid book with many good examples of what qualities a successful person has. I would have rated it higher, but I left the book feeling like the perception of success by the author fit more with a "corporate" paradigm. While I found it to be helpful, I don't see the book as being anything revolutionary, and much of the suggestions are common sense, in my opinion.
Self-development books can get BORING sometimes without much to add.
But this book is kind of different. It's simple, easy to read, no psychological mumbo-jumbo you won't feel. Very applicable, and I like the way the authors explains and gives views on things. Most make pretty good sense to me.
To be honest, this book to me is like a summary of all possible self-development books (minus a few, of course).

My mother bought this book for me to read in an airport many years ago. Being the kid I was, I thought the book looked interesting and never read it. Fast forward about eight years later and I’m reading a lot of these kind of self-help success-minded entrepreneurial books. I saw The Magic of Thinking Big show up in some recommendations and I had a moment of “I’ve got that book!” and so I read it over a few months in between other reads.
It has helped me change my thoughts to be focussed on success and building good habits to work harder, make better impressions, and tackle difficult tasks by believing I can do it. There are heaps of other hints of wisdom, and I especially liked how it encouraged the reader to move away from gossip and instead focus on being of service to others and seeing them succeed too. It was this kind of optimistic attitude that is also making me want to be a successful, goal-attaining person. There was one thing that was a bit annoying, and that was the judgemental attitude the author had for unsuccessful or “poor” people. There were also other dubious examples of success, like leaders such as Hitler and the invention of the atom bomb. These kinds of examples shed success in an evil light, and I wish they were omitted.

I really loved this book. The reason why it took me so long to read is because I wanted to immerse myself in every moment of it. It made me smile & motivated me. Definitely a good read for anyone who wants to be better than they are.

The way we think of ourselves, the people & the world around us is such a huge piece of what we're able to accomplish.
This is very well put together and really helps you change the way you let yourself think. If we are wanting advancement in our lives, how are we supposed to do that without advancing our thought patterns?
(Bit of a heavy read! I definitely need to read it in the morning... not at night to fully focus on it.)

Good reminders but not eye opening or life changing in my opinion. Many of the points seem obvious to me but there were some good nuggets. Would recommend this book for others (my brother)
The author was able to give some concrete suggestions as to how thinking big can be achievable
