I would give this book a 4.5 if I were able. It was emotionally difficult to read, but I sped through it in one day.

I was living in upstate NY during 9/11 and remember it vividly as well as know ppl who were in the city.

The 9/11 event portion was actually really small in the book. I was hoping there would be more but the majority of it was post-9/11 with the amnesia situation and a lot on the faith journey of both sets of spouses before and after. It was well written, tho wasn’t exactly what I was looking for but was still good.

While I had a hard time believing the basis for the plot (that two men, one a New York firefighter and the other a high profile businessman get confused for each other in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks) I was still drawn into this book! This is the first Karen Kingsbury book I've ever read and I'm sure it won't be my last.

I'm not a Christian fiction fan. Wish this book had been more explicitly marked as such.
