This beautiful all-in-one book right here was probably the first spark of reading for me. Not only was I an avid book hater but I had hardly ever finished anything other than Carrie the previous school year. I argued with my English teacher to let me write my senior paper on books one through three of this series and aced it. I still have my copy of this book and I think I still have that paper somewhere too. C.S. Lewis wrote a beautiful world with wonderful characters, although I do think it gets a little weird at the end.

I adore this series. Started with "Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe," which isn't technically the 1st book, but whatever, it captured me and made me read more. It's still one of my favorite books.
