Christian undertones (and outright overtones towards the end) but still a fun adventure tale. I loved the world of Narnia even when I rolled my eyes at the writing. He did Susan dirty

I've read these about a thousand times. You should always read them in published order first. Then reread as many times as possible.

Thoughts: I have surprisingly never finished this entire series. I'm not sure why but here we are! To Santa, who got me this in either 2001 or 2002 - thanks! I finally read it 😂. Child me would have LOVED this. Adult me - struggled. So much. I was honestly really bored for the middle 3 books. I had to switch to audio to get through it. Patrick Stewart reads the final book and made it most excellent.

I loved the chronicles of narnia as a child, but it wasn’t until I had kids of my own that my husband and I listened to the entire series with our kids. So great finally reading the entire series.
