This book is about a girl transforming into a werewolf and then dealing with what that means with her life moving forward. There's no major external factors at play or anything like that to move the story forward which can make it feel slow around the halfway mark.
I grew to like Rory as the book went on, with her loud personality and in-your-face attitude. It can be really hard to write characters like that and still have them be enjoyable. Her relationship with Ian subplot was okay, nothing too interesting to me. This book overall was okay.

This one was definitely outside my comfort zone. I'm not much of a real romance reader. Nothing against the genre, but it just isn't my style. That said, Such Sharp Teeth was a very breezy, quick read, an entertaining jaunt of fur and teeth.
I burned through this one in a matter of hours, so credit where it's due to the author for a very clear and easily-digestible style. The plot is pretty predictable, and it sometimes veers into the cheesy and/or cringey depending on your tolerance. And while I get that it isn't the focus, and wouldn't necessarily criticize the book for it, I wanted more of the actual werewolf action, and less of the aftereffects and introspection about it.
All said, this is an incredibly quick read, decently characterized, and fairly simple. It probably won't blow you away, but it might entertain you for an evening as it has for me.

A fun, quirky, addictive novel that is guaranteed to have you hooked! The author draws you into the scenes like you are there. The characters are brilliantly imperfect that you can’t help but love. Rory finds herself in a dangerous situation; she survives an attack from a vast animal, maybe a bear. As the days pass after her attack, her body is not healing. She doesn’t want to stress her twin sister, so she keeps her wounds hidden. While trying to help and be supportive of her pregnant twin sister, she can’t help but think about Harrison. He has been in love with Rory since they were children. You can’t help but fall in love with Harrison. He is special, and it’s easy to fall for him. Rory’s condition continues to get worse, and the full moon is days away, Rory is forced to face her fears. Her reflection shows something smelly and scary staring back at her. Full of dark humor, spookiness, and true love, I couldn’t put this book down.
