Everyone is over the top, everything is totally improbable, and everything happens on a really weirdly compressed timeline.
DNF: Pg. 100: The most insufferable characters I’ve read in recent memory.
i wanted to like this book so bad!!!!!!!! i thought i would!!!! it’s everything i like!!!!!!! but it wasn’t even really written like a romantic era book would be. i don’t know if she tried to replicate the style and just gave up like halfway through but it started out good and just went down hill. also!! these characters!!!!!! talk about insufferable!!!!!!!! geez louise!!!!!! i liked ONE character!!!!!! and it was periwinkle and he was in a total of 2 scenes but he slayed every second he appeared. these characters were just so STUPID this book could’ve been a short and sweet story but even though it was already so short it still felt like it dragged on and on. there was no reason for some of the conflicts. and some scenes!!!!!!! just completely unneeded!!!!!! remove them!!!!!!! i was expecting so much from this book because i liked a previous book from this author but i was unfortunately let down. i don’t know if ill ever recover from the heartbreak of how much i disliked some things in this book. like!!!!! i wanted to throw my phone at some of the scenes i read!!!! and i don’t think that’s how she’s wanted to make me feel.
This was definitely a fun read that will leave you laughing every time you pick it up
This was so hard to read, the beginning is really slow and the characters are boring! Luckily it gets better and the first sex scene... lmao it's better than most of mxm books with vanilla stuff.

This book was fabulous! It was well written, fun, and completely over the top.
I am having a hard time rating this book. For entertainment purposes, the love story, and character growth (for certain people) I want to give it 5 stars. It also had a lot to say about a lot of important things, which I appreciated, but there were times when I couldn't help being offended or angry with the events that surrounded those good messages. Thank goodness this story was a farce or I would not have gotten past those angry moments.
Overall, I love Bonny, Valentine, and Peggy. Bonny was ridiculous to start, but the whole story is ridiculous, so that is to be expected. The thing I like about Bonny is that you see enough of the core of him to know he has a general head on his shoulders, but he's a complete romantic and just wants a love story. Hence the silly. I can go with that. Peggy has questionably choices in friends, but when it came down to it she was one of the voices of reason by the end. Thank goodness, because it was necessary when Arabella was on the page.
And now we come to the main source of what keeps this book from being an easy 5 stars: I can't stand Arabella. All the things that angered me in this story were related to her, and although the core of her motivations were relevant, the extreme entitlement of them, her resulting actions, and her complete lack of remorse or character growth just infuriates me to no end.
For now I will leave this unrated.

The single silliest book I have ever read. A fluffy marshmallow of hilarious improbability.
