4.25 stars! I love that this book is a Cinderella retelling that takes place in a fantasy world. Getting to read references to the og cinderella story while also learning about a whole new world and whole new plot was really cool. I LOVE the chemistry and banter between the two main characters. And I'm really excited to read the rest of the series. My only complaint is almost the whole book takes place in a two week period. I wish the characters had more time to really fall in love and get to know each other but other than that I loved it.

This Cinderella retelling by Tessonja Odette was such a great continuation of the Entangled with Fae series. It follows Ember Montgomery, a half-fae servant girl, as she disguises herself as the princess the arrogant Prince Franco is to marry. But Ember is not a weak damsel in distress, and I really enjoyed her romance with Franco. This was a perfect read for my little romantasy loving heart and it was definitely a page turner with its good plot and its interesting characters.
“Em. My Ember.” The sound of my name—my full name—fills my heart with the most delectable pleasure. “My Franco.”
I recommend this book to anyone who’s interested in storybook retellings with a dash of magic and some very attractive fae. If you’re searching for a fun little fantasy romance, don’t hesitate to pick this up.

The song I chose for this book was Fairytale by Alexander Rybak!!
I loved this book, but my favorite fairy tale is Cinderella so this is right up my ally. It's the only book in the series that I have read, and you can totally pick it up and read just that book. It was a unique take on the old fairy tale and I loved Ember and Franco. I also like that the Little Mermaid played a small role in the book, a shout out to another one of my favorite stories. It would have been five stars but I started skimming through a lot of the descriptions near the end. The story was moving too slow. I think three pages of them dancing could have been cut down to a paragraph. (I may be exaggerating a little bit) but I did not skim the whole book, just near the end in long descriptions of some things because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. I loved the ending and also liked how it was wrapped up without just "and they lived happily ever after." I haven't decided if I'm going to read another book in the series yet. Maybe the one about Princess Maisie (the little mermaid). A really fun read.
