What happens?
Decker is merging his firm with Tate's boss. Tate is left behind in Boston to tidy things up; check for conflict of interests and things like that.
Tate and Decker didn't get off to the best start, probably helped the chemistry along and they're soon unable to stay away from each other. Decker letting Tate into his life and his family life.
Final thoughts
I thought this was a good first story. Its not exactly the boss work place relationship I was looking for but I did enjoy reading this. Its not going to be amazing; its a workplace romance what do you want?! Its just a nice romance I enjoyed it.

Cocky Playboy is a collaborative book between two authors and book one in a series. This is one of those books that are really eye catchy when the two main characters have an insta-attraction within the first chapter. A great connection that makes the couple hyper aware of their attraction towards each other then it becomes a matter of when they fall and not if. Decker Collins was every bit the cocky playboy until his eyes landed on Tate Reynolds.

What did I like? You could feel the attraction between the two, and also see their viewpoint. Each chapter was tagged as Decker or Tate’s view so you could see the situation through both sides which made the attraction that much stronger.

Would I buy/recommend? Omg have you seen those covers? I really want a copy of the series! The story starts out slow but builds momentum. It’s definitely addicting.

Thoughts for the authors? Muah! Thanks so much for a copy for an honest opinion. You’ve made me a believer❤️

Enemies-to-lovers: check, Office romance: check, Chemistry and scorching hotness: double check! Cocky Playboy is an impossible to put down romance with loads of feels (the good kind) and characters you can't help but root for. Whether they're going for the jugular or something a little further south, Decker and Tate are terrific. And this one might even have a unicorn - a likable and friendly teenager who doesn't show disdain for every adult in her general vicinity.
This story sucked me in from the beginning with two of my favorite types of characters. Decker is arrogant, but he does have a softer side and so many redeeming qualities, and Tate is a strong woman who doesn't mind going toe-to-toe with arrogant alpha males while still showing her more feminine side. Both are well-rounded, and the authors have shown all sides of these characters brilliantly.
Of course, we have to have that required bit of angst, and this one has a couple of those. It's not hard to see either coming, but that's okay. This one really isn't about getting all angsty. It's pretty low-key, which keeps with a lighthearted tone. It's also full of some spectacular wit and laugh out loud moments. That said, there is one 'go get her' scene that comes pretty darn close to the feels in that final Officer and a Gentleman scene.
In the end, can I say that this one is realistic? It's nice to think that it could be, but probably not. It is, however, what the romantics in us would hope to have. Decker is the type of guy that most women would want to find, and Tate is the strong woman most would like to be. Cocky Playboy is a fun, sexy read with characters that I will come back and revisit from time to time. It's a bit of escapism in this crazy, busy world.

I LOVE a good office romance with an enemies to lovers spin on it and Cocky Playboy is just that! The chemistry between Decker and Tate just jumps right off the pages from the very start of the book! I loved the two of them when they were at each other’s throats but even more so when they finally got together! I cheered for Tate and her ballbusting attitude and Decker, well, he gives just as good as he gets which made this story so fun. This book was full of sass, sexiness and a touch of sweet that made this office romance perfection!

This was a solid 4.5 stars for me. I almost 5 starred it but I will have to reread it when I'm not feeling like death lol

I really, REALLY loved the development of Decker and Tate's relationship. It was sexy x Infinity. Add in the adorably sweet Jenny and the low angst and this book made me swoon.

Oh hell yes! I love myself a cocky asshole, and this book delivered one. I don't know why but when it comes to romances, I am always drawn to ones that have an alpha asshole as a main character and Decker was just that. He was cocky as hell, arrogant, alpha and domineering in a way, cockier than playboy in my opinion. Then you add in Tate, a ballsy woman who doesn't take any bullshit.

These two meeting is anything but romantic. Both are high end attorneys that have strong personalities. Tate is in Chicago to oversee a big deal her firm has happened with Deckers, and she is quite literally knocked on her ass by the man and he went ahead and stole her cab too... Classy asshole! The first encounter was something else.. Decker was an asshat to say the least but Tate holds her own and isn't much different... and what they thought was a random bump in was so much more.

This book was everything. It sure as hell is going down as one of my favorite enemies to lovers romance, and the beginning was a perfect start to what was an amazing read. I love chocky assholes, as I said before... I am a sucker for them, and I love strong female leads and these two were perfect. What you would think wouldn't work, did.. and the fact that these two are so alike in ways... But the authors made it work and it was intense and hot and insanely addictive. I couldn't get enough of these two. The push and pull between them always there and pulling me in deeper and deeper as the book progressed. I got frustrated, I laughed, I growled, I laughed some more, and there were even a few emotional parts.

All in all, this was everything I love about romance. Sexy, enticing, a storyline with a few twists and turns that keep my attention all the way through, heat and chemistry that overflowed from the pages, and a couple that you can't help but cheer for even though they don't seem like the perfect match, you can't help but want them to be!

5 Stars!
