This had a lot of potential but with the split POV chapters and flashbacks from both main characters, it just felt choppy. Every chapter is 6 pages or less and just didn’t feel… done? Not sure. Anyway—skimmed the last 20 pages and didn’t really feel there was a conclusion other than “yay we finished writing the book”.

3.8 ⭐️ - The Roughest Draft had such a compelling premise, and I really enjoyed the tension between the main characters and their shared creative process. The forced proximity and unresolved past made for some great moments, but I wish the emotional depth had been explored a bit more. Some parts felt slower than they needed to be, but overall it was a solid, slow-burn romance with beautiful writing and introspective moments.
I loved being able to read the story through both Katrina and Nathan’s POV coupled with the past and present timelines to piece together the full story. Although a slow burn for the romance there were lots of breadcrumbs throughout the story to keep me engaged and wanting more.
This was a great book! I feel as though it started off a bit slower but then I couldn't put it down.
Unhauling based on reviews, do not enjoy both partners cheating at the core of the book. Read the first chapter and didn’t intrigue me in any way.
