I read this book with my daughter. Her favorite character was Uncle Feathers. This story was about the relationship btwn two brothers and their annoying neighbor Sheila and their summer vacation. Great book!

My boys really like these Fudge books. They make great audio books in the car. We finished listening to this yesterday and then saw the book at a book store and my son wanted to get it so he could read it. That's the sign of a good book! (B & C - July 2012)

**Read this out loud to Isaac over the past month or two. He really enjoyed it and immediately asked to read the 5th and final Fudge book when we finished this one tonight. (Isaac - Sep 2016)

It's been a long time since I read the first 3 Fudge books. I wanted to take a peek at their lives once again. Fudge is a little older here and a little more of a person. This book is about a vacation the family takes with the Tubman family up to a house in Maine. At first, I wasn't as into this book and then the last 50 pages were absolutely fantastic. I love the ending!!! So glad I decided to give this a try. Shelia and Peter still hate each other at the end of the book and those words sound like the beginning of a beautiful relationship they will grow into.

Another laughter riot involving 11 yr old Pete, his 5 year old younger brother Fudge and their 1.5 year old cute sister Tootsie with all their entourage. This series is a must read for all who like belly shaking laughter

A short but complete book, with enough going on to stay entertained.

I liked the idea of strangers thinking Uncle Feather was their human uncle.

Super fun, as always, even if I had to explain some of the references to my kids. ("Oil of Olay? What's that?")

I would complain about the incredibly prevalent heteronormality in this book (Fudge says he can’t mary Uncle Feather because he’s a BOY) but as soon as Peter suggests that people can’t mary birds Fudge insists that Big Bird has a husband. The rest of the story is cute and funny. Yes, Shiela is a massively self-absorb know it all but that’s a realistic character. She gets on your nerves because she’s supposed to. Nobody ever complains that Dracula would be a better book if the vampire lord were more sympathetic and less murdery.
funny fast-paced

Strong character development: No

Fudge was a good character.

Ahh a return to Fudge, the lovable troublesome brother of Peter Hatcher. Not as funny as the first one, but still worth reading and laughing over.
