Everyone in this book will need therapy for years to be healthy adults and honestly I feel like the trauma of previous people will make it hard to have a healthy relationship.  I do like the story a lot

But  matty was assaulted by his teacher in high school.  Like it was a sentence and a teacher having a student eat her out is adult.  And I feel like it just is breezed over.  And we should put more attention when men are assaulted and show them it was assault.  It kinda seemed Matt didn't realize that was something wrong to him.  He then got into a "relationship" with his college professor" and I don't think he fully realized that it was an abuse of her position.

Also all of their friends are shitty friends like I know they all have their own stories but I honestly don't think they supported matty or RO at all.

i read the prologue ages ago and then read the whole book in one day, in recovery from my wisdom teeth surgery. i think i may have liked this one more than the first but
i kind of ruined all the smut bc i read through those before i read the book
but otherwise i enjoyed it. well i enjoyed it enough, i didn’t love rosalie’s female archetype, just not a fan of that kind but i liked the drama with her ex and matt’s drama. in the other book the drama was a little too extreme but this seemed like mostly normal.

*deep sigh* ngl i was a little disappointed with this book considering how i loved unsteady so much.

first of all, i didn't like how ro was with her ex the majority of the book and that matty and her didn't even get together till it was really far into the book. also, i think they could've gotten together way earlier as they both clearly liked each other A LOT. and besides that, some of the choices that ro was making regarding to her ex was really questionable. i mean tyler was literally a walking, talking, breathing red flag.

however, i really liked the little cameos of the characters from unsteady. cue in cute lil liam and oliver. i also didn't expect this book to be set in the same timeline as unsteady. it was so fun seeing all the scenes from book 1 matching up to this book.

also why did nothing happen to both tyler and carmen? they're both actually the worst, especially the professor. i wish she went to jail or something, having ro leave the program is just not going to cut it.

anyways, i'm so excited for the next one! i lowkey want it to be about kane but i think it's gonna be about bennett. *sigh*

This. Book.

Most books dont make me cry, even the more cute romances that I read but this book had me crying. Not the whole time, just certain points that I will not disclose.

Peyton, thank you for this book. I loved every minute of Freddy and Ro's story and my goodness, the relatability is unreal. This story is one that I never knew I needed. In some ways, it felt a little healing in ways I wasn't expecting. I also felt so seen. I love you for this story and I don't think I can even form enough words to express my gratitude. I would also like to thank you again for this opportunity to read this before it releases. Also slow burns might be becoming a favorite for me.
