I love that there really was no 3rd act break up miscommunication trope (I feel like that would have ruined this book) it was more of a sad let’s hit pause and feel out the ramifications of all that has happed while Avery and Theo try to do damage control with Lucas who happens to be Avery’s best friend and Theos son.
