i have to be honest and say i didn’t enjoy this as much as i was hoping and the reason is because im team lucas (theo’s son and avery’s best friend)

the lying to lucas got old so fast, i was so over it. also these two really couldn’t have ONE conversation without fucking and that got old pretty quick

but qb tyler is the queen of spicy age gaps and the spice was great (as always)
emotional funny lighthearted fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Character
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: No

I really tried to like this book and I think I didn’t because I like a balance of plot, character development and spice as opposed to just spice? It was just okay to me. Plot-wise I felt like there were a lot of gaps and some situations and events that were rushed. Specifically the last chapter and epilogue. The only character I don’t have a critique on is Wes, a secondary character. FMC gave me pick-me girl vibes, MMC basically had no self-control, and the FMC’s best friend/MMC’s son had this obnoxious sense of entitlement towards FMC.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you Good Girls PR and Q.B. Tyler.

This was my first qb tyler book, and I just had to read it by the blurb/tropes alone. Theo is everything to me. Something about age gaps just suck me in every time. No one writes spice like qb and I can’t wait to read more from her. This was a lighthearted read and I had a lot of fun!

Another taboo hit from QB!

oh my gosh!!! this is my second Q.B. book and gosh dang- it was spicy, angsty, and very taboo! I don't usually read a ton of angsty and taboo books, but Q.B. is quickly making me like them. Q.B. also writes some of the best spice. I was reading a bit at work and had to break out my fan because the spice was spicin'. add in the tension and the sneaking around and it will have you absolutely hooked. and the ferris wheel?! gosh dang. it was a nice change of how good the communication was between Theo and Avery. you would think because of the age gap and maturity they would not have it, but they did. It was easily to fall in love with both of them and root them on. I will definitely be re-reading this one in the future.

thank you Q.B. & Good Girls PR for the ARC!
