There was a line where he said to milk the stuff out of him and the way she praised him like he was a god was too much for me

My biggest issue with this book was that I liked Lucas (sometimes more than even Theo). And Avery was a pretty crappy friend to him.

Other than that the book just feels like a series of spicy time scenes. Don’t get me wrong they are good seggs scenes but after a point I was looking for a plot? But no the same thing kept happening over and over again until the third act breakup, which also lasted for like 5 seconds before the problem was automatically resolved somehow without much effort from anyone. Guys, a blindfolded child would know y’all we’re gonna get caught. I know this is probably deliberately meant to be a low angst book but to me it was just forgettable.

What I love about QB is that you always know what you're going to get. You know it's going to be smutty, you know it's gonna be taboo, and you know there's going to be just enough plot that you wanna stick around until the end.

This is by far my favourite of the QBT I've read.

Quick read, some great spice, and a sprinkling of believable enough plot that ye I could get on board with an HEA. Love it.

I know a couple things I'll always get when I pick up a QB book:
- a couple who is "forbidden" but so perfect for each other
- spice that is spicing (seriously.. her spice is the best written)
- undeniable chemistry between MCs
- tension and a little drama

This one was definitely not an exception. I'm still working through her backlist, but this might be my new favorite of hers. Something about Theo and Avery just hit from the very beginning. I was so invested in their story, and you just can't help but root for them as a couple.

Thank you so much to the author and Good Girls PR for this arc copy in exchange for my honest review!
