Q. B's books are always a good time but there's something missing about her stories this year. I don't feel the angst and the connection between the mcs. It all feels just like lust. I think we were missing seeing past interactions with Avery & Theo in the past leading up to a sexual relationship to understand why there would be love at the end. Because as it stands I don't get why they would want to be together.
Lastly, this whole daddy issues thing was brought up several times but how does Avery have them when her parents are happily together, her father is portrayed as a decent guy and present in her everyday life? Am I missing something?

2.5 ⭐️ Was lucky enough to get an ARC for this! This was a fun read at times but overall I didn’t love the plot. The flow felt off to me and while this wasn’t really instalove, it did feel immature in a lot of ways, especially for it being age gap. One thing is for sure though, it really was the worst kept secret, I mean my god it was like they were asking to be caught

QB Tyler had me at her dedication. I am always ready for more QB daddies!
What an absolute treat it was to read this book. Avery and Theodore were cute, HOT AF and meant to be. 💙
"𝑰'𝒅 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒊𝒏 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆."
In true QB fashion her spice was spicing and so good. The flow of the book made it an easy read and it had the right amount of angst. I kept needing to read more about Avery and Theodore together. And when they were together on page, I just felt the chemistry. We got enough little sneaks of the past intertwined with current timeline to give us a better understanding of the characters.
I loved reading how Avery knew what she wanted and really went for it. You go girl 🙌🏻
