“I want her so f—king bad and it’s to the point where I don’t know if I care about the repercussions that come with it.”
Happy release day to the queen of taboo romance! The Worst Kept Secret by QB Tyler is HOT!! 🥵
– forbidden romance
– best friend’s dad
– age gap
– truth or dare shenanigans
– dirty talk (mmc & fmc)
– “good girl”
“Let me feel you come around my d!ck. F—king squeeze me, baby. Milk the cûm out of me.”
QB Tyler is a fantastic writer in every aspect, but she truly shines with her dirty talk. I’m always 😱😳🤭 when reading her books, and The Worst Kept Secret is no different.
Can process the fact that we have Theo falling for his son’s best friend/crush? Say less! It was 100% forbidden and I was here 👏🏽 for 👏🏽 it 👏🏽!
It was so much fun and exhilarating to read this story. Theo and Avery CANNOT stay away from each other (or keep their hands off each other).
“Looking forward to being alone with you. I don’t even mean just for s3ggs. I just feel like I breathe easier around you.”
But also, in true QB Tyler fashion, The Worst Kept Secret also has beautiful, sweet, tender moments that had me 🥹. It’s another book by QB that I know I’ll re-visit time and time again.

5 ⭐️ for sure!
Dear QB, ma’am how do you think of these men? Daddy Theo?!? 🫠🫠🫠 Avery! That woman knew who and what she wanted. I also loved the side characters we met in this book.
The Worst Kept Secret was a VERY spicy and fun read. I loved that the characters we so much more than the taboo situation they were in. They just clicked.
I can’t wait for everyone to read this when it comes out this week. I can already say I’m going to read it more than once this year.

First off, thank you to the author and Good Girls PR for the eARC opportunity! Like always this review is voluntary & honest.
Okay, first things first, this book was HOT. You guys know I'm a lover of a good age gap, forbidden romance with ALL the taboo in it & this one was IT and of COURSE it had to be by Queen QB Tyler. Best friend's father? And especially that best friend that has been in love with you since ... forever? Talk about complicated.
What I loved about this read was that we weren't just told their love/relationship was forbidden. We saw the why, we felt the conflict & we suffered through the consequence with these characters. When I tell you I was going back & forth between fanning myself and then putting a hand over my heart while screaming "THE ANGST," I mean it! Now, this doesn't mean this book was super angsty. If you don't like too much angst, this book will be for you.
Avery & Theo had such an electric & passionate dynamic from beginning to end. You could FEEL the sparks & chemistry between them which I adored. These details, the connection between them, it made the pair & the development of the relationship make sense, which is what you want in a forbidden, taboo, age gap romance. And yes, I was rooting for them THE WHOLE TIME.
Theo was such a romantic, caring MMC that you can TELL loves to spoil the ones he loves. Also, his love language for SURE is physical touch. Avery is a sweetheart who, in my opinion, was brave for going for what she wanted & for sure a confident QUEEN. What can I say besides both of them together just WORKED.
The only thing that threw me off a bit was that we didn't really get to experience the moment where it all began. I would have liked to have read about it in a way that we got to experience the whole thing (as a flashback possibly) instead of being told what had occurred.
The side characters were likable & easy to love and root for. The story kept me hooked from beginning to end & it was an amazing read overall! If this sounds like one you'd enjoy, I definitely recommend it! 🤍

This was an interesting one for me. It was my first book by Q.B. Tyler and for the most part, I actually enjoyed it.
I absolutely loved the forbidden aspect of this one as it was a best friend's dad forbidden romance. I thought the characters were fun and there was lots of spice (like melt your panties off spice).
But it wasn't perfect for me. My biggest issue was the age gap, and don't get me wrong, I love age gap romances but not when one of the MCs is under 25. I still went into this with an open mind because I've heard wonderful things about Q.B. Tyler's books, but I constantly had a voice in my head reminding me that the FMC is only 21 and it made me feel awkward at times. If both characters were over the age of 25, it easily would've been 4 stars for me.
That being said, it was a fun and steamy read and if an age gap like this doesn't bother you, then you will love it.

This is my second QB Tyler book and definitely not my last. I loved this taboo age gap romance.
Avery has had a crush on her next door neighbour for a while now the problem is he is older and her best friends dad. But now it becomes clear that Theo also has feelings for her. They both know they shouldn't develop feelings for each other but that doesn't stop them. Both of them are falling in love.
Theo and Avery have such amazing chemistry and I loved seeing them interact with each other. They started sneaking around and of course people are going to find out. And lets not forget Lucas aka her best friends and his son who has had feelings for Avery over the years. So there was definitely some tension going on.
If you like some steamy taboo age gap romance this one is definitely on for you! It comes out on the second of november.

Thank you for Q.B. Tyler & Good Girls PR for an Arc!
My first QB book! Wow that was spicy!! Will definitely read more of her books. I like Taboo books & damn this was very spicy 🥵
Only complaint was felt rushed at the end & the 3rd act conflict got resolved quickly, there definitely would need to be more time to realize what happened & to forgive/be ok with relationship.

Thank you to the author and Good Girls PR for giving me an arc for an honest review! I enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would. It is best friend’s dad x girl, which I don’t think I’ve ever read. But I loved this age gap romance, loved the main characters and the side characters. It was a great blend of spice and plot! I’d definitely read more of this author’s work!!!
