Thank you Forever and Always PR for the gifted audiobook review copy. All thoughts are my own.

You all already know I’m a huge fan of QB Tyler, and I read The Worst Kept Secret as an e-book when it first came out. As I reread the story as an audiobook, I was mesmerized by how well Maggie Thompson and Dane Anderson narrated Avery and Theo’s POVs. I remembered why I loved it so much - there’s definitely really good spice and it’s a high heat story, but I also was rooting for Avery and Theo, the unlikely and forbidden pairing. Each character understands the stakes are high – Avery is Theo’s son’s best friend after all – but their chemistry is off the charts and their relationship is more than just the “thrill of the chase.” If you are a fan of forbidden romance, you need to be reading QB Tyler and I highly recommend The Worst Kept Secret.

This has everything we love about QB Tyler books!

I really enjoyed this steamy best friends dad book! I like the twist on the trope with the best friend being his son… who at one time had feelings for her as well. Theo and Avery were hot! I don’t know what was better- the truth or dare scene or the Ferris wheel iykyk

2.5 rounded up to 3 stars. I'd say a 3-4 stars on the spicy scale.

My second Q.B. Tyler book. Kind of crazy that I started with Unconditional because apparently that is one of her major taboo books so I was very happy to hear the FMC in this was of age :). Q.B. writes amazing smut. This was a quick, light hearted read. Aside from you know who finding out about the relationship and kind of getting heartbroken - that scene really almost made me tear up. Poor kid lol.

While the smut is amazing, I still feel like something is missing from her books. I feel like I don't really know her characters well. I'm not rooting against them but I'm not rooting for them as much as I typically would like in a romance.

I'm a mood reader so this definitely scratches the itch when I'm in the mood for a smutty/taboo read, but probably not if I'm looking for something a bit more romantic where the two characters have a deeper connection and stronger storyline.

I picked up What Was Meant to Be so I'll have to see how I like that one in comparison.

Thanks so much to the author and Good Girls PR for the eARC!

avery and lucas have been best friends forever.. but avery has always felt a little more for his ~dad~

As someone married to a man 24 years older than me, I loved this. I also loved Wes and Raegan and can’t wait to see their story if it comes. But in general this was so good.
