I love the concept of this book, and some of the commentary made. I didn’t feel connected to any of the characters though; I think it would have been better to focus more in depth on a smaller number. Took me awhile to get into, but once I did I did want to keep reading.

I liked the premise. It was thought provoking. Then where it was going made me angry. White patriarchy bullshit. I just can’t. I wasn’t going to be able to go to drunk book club to discuss and none of the characters were very compelling to me.

A really interesting idea, written in a welcoming way. Some of it was trite or predictable, but I still enjoyed it overall. Loved the question underlying it all—what will you do with this one wild and precious life?
