endearing characters. cute story where everything gets wrapped up perfectly at the end (à la happily ever after). refreshing in the way it handles queerness. learned some things!

"I had been so desperate for my idea of true love that I couldn't even see it when it was right in front of my face."
emotional informative inspiring medium-paced

This book resonated with me so much. I kept on stopping and just thinking ‘this is my experience too’. If this book had been out when I was Georgia’s age, I would have figured out I was aroace long before I was 30. I think this is a perfect book for people just learning about the aroace experience and how they navigate a world centered around couples.

4,5 ⭐

I love this book. It talks about a lot of real stuff that the majority had been through or will be through the social pressure we have to experience all that it's considered teenagers do or are supposed to, like, their first kiss, sex, being in love, hang out with friends every weekend, that kind of stuff, that, it isn't for us all, not all of us want that to be their adolescence.

It also shows us why giving visibility to the LGBTIQ+ community is important, so people can get to know themselves and don't feel strange when they do not feel what they're supposed to feel for someone.

I love that, for me, friends are even more important than some of my family, and this book talks about it, about the love we have for our friends, and how friends are so important and priceless to everyone, and that we as a society should consider friendship more important than romance relations.

I thought I was really going to connect with this book but I don’t think Alice Oseman’s writing is for me.

2.5 this book might’ve made more sense if it was either adult or the characters were in high school. YA in a university setting makes the whole book feel juvenile and silly. I also read this on my phone which contributed to the fan fictiony feeling of it. However, I enjoyed an insight into a story that felt very personal to the author & has made others feel so seen and understood.
