I could NOT put this down! I devoured it in two days! It's funny, it's sweet, it tugs at the heart strings! It was everything I needed. I don't always love stories with babies (accidental pregnancy, no thanks. Deadbeat Dad, no thanks) but this was absolutely fantastic and I loved every single page and every single character! Gimme so much more of Max Monroe!!!

Definitely one of my favorite Max Monroe books. This had so much heart and emotion.

I love the part AFTER the pregnancy trope where you get to see them being a cute domestic family. This was cute family domesticity, a second chance romance, and some grade A steam. I really loved Remy and Maria's story. I don't always enjoy the humor in Max Monroe's books and I think so much of this book's humor came from the crazy situations in the first half of the story. Other than that, the story was full of emotion and heart. I loved watching Remy immediately sink into dad mode (dilf alert). I don't know if it's a new favorite or even a book I'd re-read, but Max Monroe's writing style is average but fun and enjoyable.

Actual Rating: 4.5/5

So I discovered this book based off a tiktok recommendation for a non surprise pregnancy trope book. If there is one thing about me as a reader, 1. I do not like surprise pregnancy (ESPECIALLY if they use the baby as a plot device to essentially force the couple to stay together) and 2. Second chance romance is not one of my top tier reading tropes.

But this book actually knocked it out of the park for me! I looooooved how we see Maria and Remy learn how to take care of a baby together and grow to love her as their own even though she is not “biologically” theirs. It was also very realistic in terms of anxiety over a new baby and wondering if you’re being a good parent or not. Remy was *chef’s kiss* he is def one of my top favorite male mc’s ever. He is so protective, caring, supportive, and family focused. The rekindling of Maria and Remy’s romance was SO FREAKING SWEET. And the smexy scenes were HOT. In all honesty it was a bit of a “slow-burn” for them to the moment where they finally come together as a couple and I thought it was a perfect way to handle their relationship.

I also loved the flashbacks between their past relationship and present. We see their backstory as high school sweethearts.

There were definitely some parts where it got a little repetitive. Particularly with Maria’s insecurities and inner monologue moments but it’s understandable to see where she is coming from.

The part where Maria confronted her grief over her sister and brother-in-law made me cry.

This book was great. And I definitely read the series in the wrong order because this was my first book of this series that I read. Now I have to go back and read the other brothers’ books now.

Second chance, friends to lovers and pregnancy trope.

All tropes that are some of my least favourite on the trope scale but they were done exceptionally well!

I loved Remy and Maria and their little family unit with Izzy. The story between them is something that I've not read before and I thought Max Monroe executed this extremely well. Their romance restarted at the end of the third book but they had already had a romance during their teens. I appreciated that they didn't have any conflict or spiteful feelings toward each other, it made for a really enjoyable and easy read.

The Redo is very saucy and spicy with a build-up to their new romance. Remy has so many different sides to him and during the pregnancy, he is the sweetest man around. He is extremely proud of Maria and he makes that known throughout. It really helps build the relationship and their appreciation for each other.

It was very humour filled and Cleo getting involved and meddling rounded off the story. She likes to send everyone into chaos with her vague answers or statements. The Redo is a great book to end the series and now I need to dive in to some of the side characters books because I miss this world.

Inesperadamente bueno

Y la parte del viajecito 10/10

Oh claro y solo queda añadir que esa película de Reese Witherspoon y la escena en la montaña rusa sí me dejó marcada

This is a perfect conclusion to a favorite series. It’s bittersweet because I absolutely loved this series and Remy is the final Winslow brother so this is the end. I really hate when a good series ends, but the upside to that is a lovely extended epilogue that jumps into the near future to show us what everyone is doing later on. I almost didn’t want to read this knowing it meant the series is over but I couldn’t wait for Remy’s story and jumped right on it.

Maria and Remy are high school sweethearts who meet again decades later. They’re immediately sweet together and it’s obvious that Remy always regretted letting her go. I loved these two from the first pages. Maria is sweet and good but life hasn’t been kind to her so she’s currently juggling a crazy situation. Remy has been closed off since being stood up at the alter years ago, but he’s drawn to Maria and can’t get enough of her. They’re so good together and I especially love Remy’s insistence on helping with the baby and how quickly they bonded.

There’s a healthy dose of the others in here so I got my Jude and Flynn fixes. I like Ty, but honestly, he’s fourth. Flynn is my favorite but Jude is a close second and Remy isn’t far behind.

My favorite Winslow, Remington, is arguably the best boyfriend in the entire world. I mean he full on delivered Izzy in an elevator and even though she wasn’t his biological child, he took care of her like she was. I thought Maria was a super strong character that deserved to be with Remy. She never asked for help because she was super independent and wanted to make a life for herself and Izzy. I just loved that Remy and Maria finally had a chance to reconnect after sixteen years and fall back in love with one another. I loved the epilogue of the book when Cleo, the fortune teller, finally reunited with all the siblings (and basically announced that everyone except Daisy was pregnant). I thought that this book was a great way to end the series. I am so glad that Remy got his happily ever after after Charlotte left him at the altar all that time ago.
