WHAT A SERIES- so happy I picked it up, whirlwind, twists, surprises, don’t sleep on it.

Wow what an adventure these books took me on! I am not a fan of conclusions/finales because I never want stories to end and I want them to go on forever! Same thing with this series. Even though it is over, I want more!

This book was filled with action, drama, and 99 problems. It seemed like anytime Julian and Thea got some sort of peace, another problem came up. I do like a drama filled book, but I do wish that we got more of Julian and Thea just being happy together and not having to worry about what is going on. Them escaping to a remote island just to get away was my favorite part. They were just together being happy…until the problems found them. But don’t worry, the spice is still spicy 😏

I do feel like the ending was rushed just a little bit. There was still drama happening at 98% of the book. While the book is a happy ending, I do wish we got more of the peace and happiness and less of the drama towards the end.

These books have all been told from Thea’s or Julian’s POV. This book added in two other POVs. While I am a sucker for multiple POVs, and I loved them in this book, I do feel like we could have gotten more from those other two and that their stories aren’t complete. Which maybe they have their own books coming 👀 I love this world and would not be upset if we got even more books from it!

Overall, this is a 5 star series for me and one that I will continue to reread! And no I am ready to dive into the world of Filthy Rich Fae!

I really didn't like the pace and plot of this one. They kept introducing new problems just to resolve them super quickly and without any real impact. The back and forth with the main villain at the end was so annoying.

At least by the end, Thea stops doubting everything and being so naive.

I wasn’t surprised to see there will be more books—it makes sense. I do want to read more about Lysander and Aurelia, but if they were planning another book, did they really need to rush the resolutions?

And so much time was wasted on descriptions and frivolous details. It felt like it took forever to finish this one, unlike the others.

WTF happened to this series?!  This book was awful for about 3/4's of it.   The first three books were so enjoyable I figured I'd break down and buy physical copies.  Thank God I didn't yet!

If all you want is a HEA conclusion to a series you're fine.  You get it.

But if you were hoping for good flow, interesting plot, fun twists, enjoyable characters, and well balanced spice like you got in the first 3 books...sorry you're SOL.

This was a really big let down.  We had characters that started getting their own fleshed out storylines but for no reason, it didn't add to the story at all.  We might like these characters but giving them 100% of the focus is pointless at the end if the series.  They could have had their stuff wrapped up without being in the spotlight.

And I love me some spice...but this had spice thrown in at the most ludicrous moments!  And way more frequently then was necessary or made sense for this story.

The FMC and the MMC turned into insipid and annoying versions of characters that I had loved in the first 3 books for a majority of this book.

The plot was all over the place, it was not cohesive, and there was so much filler thrown in that I was baffled half the time.  I think it might have been to set up the next spinoff series, but dude.... drop hints or give us brief but poignant moments instead of runaway chapters that completely upset the balance of the story.

I'm not gonna lie I almost DNF'd this book.  And it was so bad I'm about 90% sure I won't be reading the Fae spinoff series.  When you know an author is capable of writing some truly amazing books, something like this is a bug disappointment.
