I did not find this enjoyable, and thought the title was misleading. The first half was relatively pointless, summarizing stronger philosophical ideas. The second half made it barable, with the last chapter coming in clutch making it somewhat worthwhile.

I went into this book expecting the same punchy, no-nonsense wisdom that made The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fck* such a standout, but this one didn’t quite hit the mark for me. That said, it did have a few genuinely insightful moments that I still carry with me months after finishing it, so it’s not without its merits.
🔎 What Worked:
🧠 Thought-Provoking Insights – Manson still has a knack for cutting through the noise and getting to the heart of what drives human behavior. There are lessons in this book that genuinely shifted my perspective, and I appreciate that.
💥 Big Picture Thinking – The book touches on some important philosophical ideas, challenging readers to think beyond their own immediate struggles and consider the broader, often chaotic nature of the world.
🤔 What Didn’t:
🎯 Mismatched Expectations – Given the title, I expected something a bit more from this book, but in the end I was let down. That's on me. However, the delivery did not match with the same impact as his earlier book.

The second half of the book was pretty good. The first half just seemed weird to me and I couldn’t understand the purpose.

This is an enjoyable book, its like a collection of essays about how the brain works in regard to hope and decision making. I liked listening to this, Manson is good narrator I find easy to listen too. This was great for my walks to work, I didn't expect it to change my life or anything it was just good to find out some information about the brain. I like Manson's books as they are easy to listen to and enjoyable.
