pure fluff with a bit of baseball thrown in, but written like they’re still in high school and not in their 30s
This book was great ! Finally some baseball romance
This book was so well written that it kept me interested from the very first chapter. I love second chance novels and this didn’t disappoint. I love the plot of a bad boy baseball player trying to win back the heart of a woman whose heart he had broken years before, Marnie was a smart, and ambitious woman who wanted to move on from her teenage heartbreak, even if it means working for a baseball team. Her plans are sort of derailed when she learns that her ex from high school plays for the team she is going to work for. Has their flame entirely burnt out or is there a chance that the flame can be reignited? This was the first book I have read by Lulu Moore and I will definitely be reading more.
2.5 stars
I wanted to love this book. The story was there, but the execution was poor. This book had so much potential; second-chance love, dual timelines, forced proximity, protective MMC. But the story was rushed and at times confusing. And the spice was “meh” at best.

Not bad enough to DNF, but i did feel like I was "hate-reading" it. The MMC was atrocious. Completely arrogant. Messing with the FMCs career like that? Unapologetically? And I hated the flashback timeline. And the FMC was completely controlled by her vagina. Blegh.

Struggled with the time hops, but really enjoyed the pace and development of characters. This is my first Lulu Moore book and will definitely pick up others, Drew is where we first meet Jupiter so will probably go back and find him in that.
It started out strong but the Jupiter barely apologised and he never really explained what happened when they were younger. Marnie didn't rly stand her ground!

DNF -- thinking the d*dgers are the best franchise in the league AND them being your dream team to play for aren't even red flags, they're tombstones
