Why’d it take 14 years?
This is why I’m not the biggest fan of second chance romances. They’ve not seen each other in 14 years but he seems to think they can pick up where they left off. Marnie was 16 the last time they were together, she isn’t gonna be the same girl he left. I knew the reason he broke up with her the first time before it was revealed. Why did it take 14 years for him to decide to try and get her back? He didn’t look her up or anything, he didn’t even know she’d been married. I don’t get it.

This was a great book and I really enjoyed it. It was my first book by Lulu, and I think it was a good choice to start with. I liked all the characters and the banter, too.
The only note I have is that I wish that Marnie would have made Jupiter apologize for how he broke up with her and the things he said to her. Once he explained his reasoning behind breaking up with her, I understood why he ended things, I just think he could have apologized more for the things he said to her when he was breaking up with her. She was crushed by what he said, so I think he could've and should've done a lot more groveling for that aspect of it. Honestly, it doesn't even make it a bad book, I just felt like Marnie deserved more of an apology from Jupiter for the things he said then. He did do his best to make up for everything, but Marnie deserved an apology for the things he said to her back then.
Other than that, I enjoyed this book. I think both Marnie and Jupiter were great characters, and I liked all the side characters as well. I'm ready to dive into the next one!

the petty girl in me would've loved to see more groveling lol, but i liked the flashbacks & the second chance angst was done well imo!
Second chance romance
I love a good sports romance and throw in a second chance why not? I will say that I was not a Jupiter fan like a lot of people I have seen! Jupiter and Marnie have history and heartbreak. After so many years apart they are both in the same sports team. Jupiter wants his old love back and he is on a mission. Marnie was sweet and tough to have to combat Jupiters charm! I was team Marnie all the way! Jupiter eventually won me over but it took a minute. I like that you got to see how these two were back in the beginning to how they are now. The flow was good and of course it was a rocky road to the HEA

Calling all baseball fans and hopeless romantics! “The Third Baseman” by Lulu Moore is a homerun. I dove headfirst into Jupiter’s story and it delivered, but this book goes beyond the diamond 🏟️ Marnie is a fierce woman in STEM that isn’t afraid to stand her ground. I don’t always grab second chance romance, but I loved this one and having the flashbacks pulled at my heartstrings seeing their past and present intertwine. I was swooning at Jupiter’s nickname for Marnie and the tattoo reveals only add to the charm. I can’t wait to jump into the next book in the series and the third book comes out this month! ⚾️💫đź”

Fans of second chance romances will enjoy this one. I liked it, but the past chapters didn't really pull me in. There were maybe two that held my attention. I would rather have spent more time in the present with Jupiter and Marnie rebuilding a relationship.
