I didn't love the premise - the reason for the initial breakup. Also didn't love the writing style or pacing of the story.

Unfortunately, this book wasn't for me🄲 this was too long with unnecessary long chapters both for the present and past.
The characters were in their 30s and acted worse than teenagers. The FMC always had tears in her eyes like OMG GROW UP!
I had just gone out of a slump, and I'm pretty sure I'm entering another one after taking 3 days to finish this🤔
Now, I'm not that much of a bitch so, there were things I liked like the unexpected dirty mouth of the MMC, the grand gesture at the end and the epilogue!
Personally, I wouldn't really recommend this one, but if you are a fan of second chance, baseball romance, it has always been you trope, maybe you would enjoy this.
This was my first read from the author, and I don't know if I would go back for more, but we'll see!

i loved this book. i loved this book so freaking much. i’m filled with so much happiness and just thinking about marnie and jupiter puts the biggest smile on my face. i have so much to say but my words are a jumbled mess, gahhh this book makes so stupid happy i can’t even.

ever since this book was put on my radar i couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. my excitement was through the roof and i counted down the days until release day to finally be able to read it. and let me tell you, it was so worth the wait.

marnie and jupiter had my heart right from the beginning. i fell so hard for these two and was rooting so hard for their second chance. fourteen years, it’s been fourteen years since marnie and jupiter have seen each other, so many years they’ve missed and so much time to make-up for. marnie and jupiter are meant to be, they have an undeniable connection that goes way back to high school until both of their hearts were shattered at the hands of jupiter himself. now with marnie working for the baseball team jupe plays for its his chance to finally make right what he ended and get back the only girl he’s ever loved. marnie and jupiter were kismet, written in the stars. they were without question so incredibly perfect for each other. i loved their friendship and banter and just how amazing they both were. no two people were destined to be together than jupiter and his star.

the third baseman was an exceptional second chance romance. feels upon feels upon feels. i loved everything about this book and the journey marnie and jupiter took to get their much deserved second chance.

with this being the first book i’ve read by lulu moore, i’m over the moon filled with so much giddiness. i can’t wait to read more books by her and can’t wait for more of the new york lions series.

3 chapters in and it’s already been revealed that she was only offered her job because he made it a condition of his contract. Doesn’t that feel like an end-of-the-book reveal? Also Marnie is so hung up on this man she was with for less than 5 months at age 16 that she cries herself sick and then divorces her husband because she overheard the MMC’s name in an elevator…. What??? I’m all for pining but that was a bit much.

I will punt kick anyone who gives this book lower than a 5āļø! Yes I know, punt is football but I think you understand how strongly I feel about how amazing this books was.

Jupiter was never planned to have a book but the people have spoken and we now have Jupiter and Marnie and I am so happy about it!!

Jupiter and Marnie were high school sweethearts. Both are dreamers and determine to make their dreams come true. Jupiters being to make the Dodgers Baseball Team and Marnie to attend MIT and work for NASA. Their young love is thrown a curve ball with one of them breaking their promise to their plan. This ends them both with heartbreak.

Throughout the book, we see these two come back together. Marnie is recruited by Penn to work with his Baseball Team. Jupiter finds himself, or more-so places himself to be the one to work one on one with Marnie on how to make the team better. There is push and pull and STEAM and ladies, out of all Lulu’s men, Jupiter is the swooniest!!!!

Lulu has such a way with her writing that she pulls you in right a way. Each character has their own voice, she describes things with such detail and keeps you wanting love.

I have been a big fan of her writing since Jasper from The New York Players and I love how she intertwines and had the other characters pop up from time to time. You also get updates on where the other characters are at and what they maybe up too

This is a standalone book but I WILL ALWAYS recommend for you to read all her books so you can enjoy it so MUCH more. You will enjoy it regardless! I could not put it down and read it pretty much in one sitting and after… all I wanted to do was re-read!

Amazing job Lulu!!!!!!
