After reading Ninth House, it was obviously easier to understand what is going on and who the characters are.  I enjoy the characters a lot and seeing their bond grow even more. It still got me hooked and I was eager to finish the book.

This duology is definitely worth the read when you love demons, murders and solving murders, a girl with a dark past, and lots and lots of magic.
