Overall, this book had excellent premise. The plot and the world building were intriguing. However, the characters lacked development and brains. It was way to Insta-lovey. It would have been much better if the author focused on developing the characters.

An unpleasant protagonist, poorly designed plot, and waaay too much telling and not enough showing for a book that sits in the middle of a series. Overall, a giant bore (coming on the heels of a number of other bores - I'm having trouble finding a book that captures my interest). What a let down.

Similar characters to the other books. I'm not expecting much character development, but at least the story is exciting, interesting, and well-written.

Creative cursing and kick butt moms is always a win in my book! Penny’s story is just beginning but wow, what an adventurous beginning. I can’t wait to see what else she gets into.
