Guilty pleasure - steamy and cute. Who doesn't love a man who is a sex pot and good with animals?

I read Then Came You before reading Animal Attraction which might have been bad because I spent most of Animal Attraction finding similarities. The plan to leave being a big one. I think because of that, I didn't enjoy it as much as I normally enjoy an Jill Shalvis story.
If a series has many characters switching with other characters to be the main characters for their stories; I find the most likable characters to me, read their story, and wait a while before trying other characters' stories. Dell was the first character that intruded me enough to go pick up another characters story right after reading another ones. (May have been his physical appearance. ^-^)
Though I enjoyed it enough to keep it on my bookshelf, I found the internal dialogue a bit dragging and wanted more banter and interaction.
The beginning was probably my favorite part. Introducing Beans and the slow simmering attraction between Jade and Dell. And for the most part I enjoyed her finding her self in the defense lessons and getting a chance to flex her new courage, though "getting a chance" is probably not the best phrase for that scene.
All in all it was a great quick read, full of testosterone, alpha maleness, romance, and most important: animals!

I needed to cleanse my contemporary romance palate after reading a *coughs* certain book, and Animal Attraction did the trick.
It's a solid, well written contemporary romance book that follows the story of likable and - again - well written characters. Good chemistry and natural flowing banter between the main couple only add to the charm of the book.
My only gripe with this book is not really with the book itself, but rather with the author's plot development. I've read a number of Jill Shalvis' books and I enjoyed them, but after a while (especially when one reads her books back to back) I felt all of them follow basically the same plot point by point, with characters (especially heroines) that are basically the same. Maybe I sound like an old crone, but eh... It would be refreshing to read a story where the main couple doesn't start their relationship with casual sex, to be adamant "this is just sex", but then have a epiphany and admit to be in love.
That being said, I'll definitely read other books by the author because they are enjoyable and have a certain charm, despite my reservations.

Another fun contemporary from Jill Shalvis. Dell & Jade are each likable and each a little shut down emotionally due to things that happened to them in the past. It's fun to watch them dance around each other and dance around the fact that they're in a relationship. As in the previous book in the series the animals are also fun and charming. Particularly Peanut, the occasionally inappropriate parrot. :)
Not bad but didn't feel the connection between the characters.

I actually loved how Dell was so in tune with Jade. He knew she experienced some sort of traumatic event in her past, and he wanted to help her move past it. It was so awesome that to help her, he wanted to empower her by teaching her self defense. This book gave me what I have grown to love and expect from Shalvis - fun and flirty banter, lots of heart, an awesome community of friends with a good dose of schmexy times. I think this one fell a little flat for me, because it took too long for these two to get on the right track. I like when it makes me a little nuts, but it went on a little to long. Overall though, another fun book in this series, and I look forward to more.

Love this series! The animals at Belle Haven make the stories so fun!
Really liked the development of Dell and Jade - embracing who they are together - definitely can't wait to read Adam's story!

Loved it, Loved it, LOVED IT! I did not want it to end. :(
I picked up the book on a whim and it hooked me from the 1st page. Dell Connelly ... HAWT! Dell and Jade made a great pair. Now, I want my own "Beans".
