"Jade, you have a list for every situation, big or small, from when to brush your teeth, to how to handle every potential patient to cross my door. Hell, you've got a list on what's in your purse and my office fridge and—"
"And don't forget the list on how many different ways I could kill you," she said, sipping her drink.
Animal Attraction summed up in two words: SEXUAL. TENSION. And also DELL CONNELLY works too.
Jade and Dell have been circling around each other forever. Dell is a ladies' man, and Jade's the only lady on the block who seems immune to his charm. He flirts with her like crazy, and she's always like

it's hilarious to watch.
Ok where am I going with this?

Second book in the Animal Magnetism series and Jill Shalvis knocked it out of the park. What an awesome series. I just love these characters and the small town of Sunshine, ID.

I enjoyed Jade and Dell's story. Their banter was great and they felt so real to me. Good job!

I just can’t get enough of Jill Shalvis’s books lately. I’ve totally been binging on the Animal Magnetism series, and I’ve loved every minute of it. Animal Attraction is the second book in the series is focuses on Veterinarian Dell Connelly and his office assistant Jade Bennett.
I love the characters that Shalvis creates, and both Jade and Dell are no exception. Jade is dealing with some stuff that happened to her before she temporarily moved Sunshine, Idaho. She’s heading back home to Chicago, though, and has even put in her notice at Dell’s animal clinic. I immediately fell in love with Jade. She’s super organized and quite obsessed with spreadsheets. Seriously, she has a spreadsheet for what she can do in her down time. Who doesn’t love that? When she’s stressed she practically begs Dell to let her organize his office. It’s so adorable. But Jade is definitely struggling with some stuff, and it made me really sad to hear about what happened to her before she came to Sunshine. Jade is strong, though, and she definitely overcomes it.
Dell is totally wonderful, too. He’s strong, smart and capable. But he’s totally commitment-phobic. While there has been a lot of chemistry between Dell and Jade since Jade moved into town, they’ve never really pursued each other. But now that Jade’s Sunshine days are numbered, they might not be able to help themselves. There were times when I was a bit frustrated with the characters for not talking to each other, but never overmuch.
There are so many adorable animals peppering Animal Attraction, which really makes sense given the series name and Dell’s occupation. I really loved the kitten Jade adopted, Beans, and Peanut the parrot that lived at the clinic. They really added a lot of fun to Animal Attraction.
Animal Attraction is the perfect book if you are looking for a light, humorous contemporary romance with fantastic characters. You will be rooting for Dell and Jade from page one. I have to say that this series is getting right up there with the Lucky Harbor series. This review was originally posted on Quinn's Book Nook

Jade and Dell
I have often found that I see a potential relationship signalled by the author in previous books and like the idea but when they get together they are nothing like the previews (a bit like the cinema I suppose).
Such it was with Jade and Dell, in the first book Jade was really bitchy to Dell and there was one point where we see raw naked longing on Dell's face when he looks at Jade. So, I had high hopes ...
But when the book starts somehow all that has drifted away.
Jade ran away from her high powered job and life after a traumatic incident. She likes Dell but has no interest in being one of his revolving door of dates, besides which she has promised to return home soon.
Just like Brady (and presumably Adam) Dell has issues arising from his shitty childhood and likes to leave first (hence the revolving door of dates). He likes Jade but sees she has issues, besides she is leaving soon.
There was absolutely nothing wrong with this book but I couldn't help but wish I was reading the book I expected.

This was a very typical Jill shalvis. Nothing wrong with it- just didn’t love it. An easy light read.
