This is just the first part of Ethan, Zayne, and Chloe's story and it was intense, delicious, extremely filthy, and so darn good!!!

We get just the tip...of how Zayne and Ethan really come to know one another, and I know I'm dying to find out more of their intimate story, but this book focuses on Chloe and how she meets these enigmatic men and how they quickly become something more than just one night.

Ethan is super intense and Zayne is the playful one. They make quite a team, especially when they are together, balancing one another perfectly especially when it comes to servicing their third.

We meet Chloe, the daughter of three fathers and one protective brother, who is looking to escape their overbearing presence for at least one night and goes to a club with her cousin, Ethan and Zayne's club as it turns out. She catches their eye and I'll just say the rest is history, with a ton of steamy times rolled into that statement, but like I also said this is just book one.

We just get going with who each of these characters are and what will be revealed. I'm super excited to continue their journey as we get more story, plus...how is Chloe going to incorporate more men into her already overprotective male dominated world? I can't wait!!

As if three fathers weren’t enough, she was also saddled with an older, protective brother.

I am so glad I made the time to read the next part of the Confessions series - and to have the three P's daughter Chloe be one of the stars... well that has made it all the better. Chloe has grown up in a loving family, but when she goes to The Office with her cousin Shalya for her 19th birthday, everything changes and it is there she meets Zayne and Ethan who will become very important to her. I enjoyed being back in this part of the Chicago-verse with the next generation. And I loved seeing Robbie, Julien and Joel again!

Scorching hot MMF

Chloe Thornton-Priestley, daughter of Robbie, Priest and Julien, is all grown up and about to find her own place in a throuple after meeting Ethan and Zayne at their kink club.

End with a typical Ella Frank cliffhanger.

Before I write this review, I want to clarify that I loved Zane and Ethan. I liked their dynamic, the sex appeal of both, how they know and understand each other. It is a couple in which I see great potential to develop an incredible story.

Now with the review. I know I've said several times that some of my reviews have been difficult to write, for different reasons, but none of them, and seriously none, were as difficult to write as this one. Partly perhaps because, as I have also said on several occasions, I am not a big fan of polyamory or threesomes (when it comes to already established relationships) and also because this time the third party is female and I stopped reading books. with women MC years ago. So I knew this was going to be hard, but unlike the last polyrelationship books I've read lately, trying to get out of my comfort zone, and which I really liked because the third person contributed to the plot and to the others. characters, and because it brought that missing piece that enriched the story... In this... NO.

But a big part of why I find it so hard to write this is the author. I really want to write a 5 star review but I can't and it's so painful .

This book was a must read for me because of the author. I love her books. There's only one Chicagoverse story and two characters I'll never love and they happen to be two of Chloe's parents. That being said, I think Ethan and Zane don't need a third person to be whole (as was the case with Julien and Priest, who were looking for a third person to complement them and found it in Robbie). The relationship between them is solid, they know each other, understand each other and love each other, and aside from the fact that SOMETIMES they need a third part to satisfy some physical/sexual/control need, emotionally they don't need it. At least not in this first installment.

I also didn't find Chloe an attractive character. At least not so that the two of them, an established couple, decided right off the bat (and without it being known beforehand that they were interested in/looking for a third permanent person), to incorporate her into their relationship as their submissive. She is mischievous, "innocent", adventurous, fearless and she wants to push the limits. But does her first experience of crossing her boundaries have to be in a BDSM club, with two men she barely knows, lying to their parents and taking a risk like that? For two men she doesn't know and just because they are simply hot and their dominance is attractive? No. They need to build something else. I mean, I'm NOT an expert on the subject, but I've read quite a few books on the subject, and one common thread is trust. But how do you trust someone you don't know? And they, as experts on these issues, should know this.

Another thing that strikes me: Why is this book called Ethan if we know more about Zane and Chloe than we do about Ethan himself? Yes, there are still two more books, and for sure we will know more about him and the backstory of him, but... Why then name this book after him? And also, why would Julien's restaurant cater to a publicly homophobic person? I understand that it served as a cliffhanger in this part of the story, but I don't see any point in it. Not for a person like Julien and his husbands.

Anyway, I could go on but I don't want to keep adding negative things. I really hope the story improves in the next two books. I would love to revisit this review and be able to change it for the better.

I was given an advanced review and voluntarily wrote a review.

You know, I always say that I'm gonna take a break from Ella and then I see a blurb or a character and I go back on my word because I'M WEAK.

Sigh.

This started out well and then I frankly got tired. I put it down alot, I got bored
Even the sex scenes weren't that great. They felt clinical and rushed.

Back to my Ella hiatus.

The whole time I was reading this all I could think was “you marry your parents”
I had a few issues with this book but overall I enjoyed it and can’t wait to continue the series.

Ella Frank returns to her Confessions Series with a leap forward in time to the next generation. Chloé is the daughter of Priest, Julien, and Robbie, the throuple from the first 4 books in the series. She is sassy, determined to pave her own way, daring, and unafraid to take what she wants. When she walks into an exclusive sex club, she sees Zayne and Ethan and is immediately captivated by this dynamic duo. Like her fathers, Chloe’s desires end up being unconventional. She is young and impulsive, but has a lot of responsibility being one of the head chefs in her fathers’ restaurant. At times she seems very young, but also is open minded and seems to take a lot of new situations in stride with grace. I found her likable and the guy intriguing. This is an age gap, insta-lust throuple story with some light BDSM elements that was a fun read.

Ethan Holt owns a business with his longtime partner Zayne that caters to people’s wildest fantasies. He is dominant both in and out of the bedroom, and demands control which works for Zayne most of the time. However, Zayne also likes to have control. When an intriguing redhead walks into their domain, both of their heads turn. She brings sass and submission which is just too hard to resist.

I am so intrigued to see where this story goes. Chloé reminds me of Robbie in a lot of ways and like her father, she can be a bit of an impulsive brat. She is so very young but in this particular story, it didn’t bother me as much as youth does in NA romance. I think I liked this story so much because the problems the characters face and will face moving forward are so much bigger than the petty issues of youth. There are secrets, but not miscommunication between them. There is heat, but the story is not a smut-fest. And there is so much left to be revealed in their story that I can’t wait to get my hands on the rest.

I must admit to being curious about the daughter of my favorite throuple of all time. I knew with who her fathers were that Chloe was going to be far from an innocent little mouse, but I don't think I realized just how right the saying "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" was going to be here. So many parallels can be drawn from her own fathers relationship. Chloe is the Robbie, Zayne the Julien, and Ethan...Ethan's the Priest. It was interesting getting to know the men who would soon call Chloe theirs. Though I mentioned parallels, there are also some major differences. The fact that both men count themselves as Dominants and expect to be addressed as Sir is one. This isn't just a simple let me be in charge and do what I ask in the bedroom. This is you do as I command or suffer the consequences, which may or may not include the ending you hope for.

As for the storyline, this book was more of a get to know the MCs. We're given a small peek behind the curtain of Zayne and Ethan's history, but I'm still dying to know more. As is Chloe. And as for the ending, I knew it was coming. It was like a train on its way to a wreck and I couldn't look away if I tried. And then BAM! There's the impact you've been expecting, except it comes in the form of a cliffhanger! Thank goodness Confessions Zayne isn't too far away because I'm on the edge of my seat wanting to know what's going to happen next.
