I've been listening to this for a few weeks and having the absolute best time. This book was a bit targeted towards me, but I really loved it. It's got the perfect amount of books-within-books, repeating symbols, fate/time-crossed lovers, inner mythology. I could have done with a smiiiidge more ending, but I do get the point of it ending where it did. I think this will hold up really well on a re-read and I'm looking forward to it.
A fairly good book. I really enjoyed the literary style and subtle ambiances contained within the book. Definitely worth the read.

This book, with its meandering plot and gorgeous prose, is definitely a favorite of all time for me.
Reading this felt like I was in a dream. Morgenstern really grabbed my hand and pulled me into this headfirst.
I loved this book with every fiber of my being.
(Also i would die for Zachary and Dorian)
This story was mysterious and magical and hopeful.
If you love character driven, slowly paced stories like i do, this is defintiely a must read.
I really have to let some of my thoughts simmer because I just finished and i am sleepy.
In short.... Read this book... Please

Erin Morgenstern yet again creates a beautiful world through the written word. Her prose and creativity to capture a different world that doesn’t follow the rules of reality is amazing. And yet. This book was a multitude of stories about stories, but I didn’t love this book’s story. There were too many loose ends, too many moments that kept emphasizing that they were meant to tie together and never did. While this was a beautiful written piece, I did not love the story itself - it felt choppy and uneven, not fully fleshed out. Overall, the writing is still amazingly beautiful, but it is not a story i get excited inviting others to enter into.

I knew I was going to adore this book.... ever since The Night Circus, I've been anxiously awaiting another offering from Erin Morgenstern. And she did not disappoint. I didn't just adore this book... I savored it. I found myself reading slowly so as to not finish it too soon. I enjoyed it even more than The Night Circus, which is saying something.
It's a fairytale for grown ups, with notes of The Neverending Story sprinkled with bits of Gaiman's The Sandman.
Looking forward to what the author has in store for us next!
