Reading this book was a colorful, interesting and sometimes disturbing adventure. I enjoyed visiting the streets of Bombay through the eyes of Lin, and would recommend it to anyone who wants something to read new, raw and different.

Almost gave up twice but really glad I kept going right through the 900+ pages. I still see it all in my mind's eye and feel like it's still all going on, that's how good it was for me.
Penso di non dire niente di nuovo dicendo che questo libro è veramente stupendo. Già dalle prime pagine mi è piaciuto. Il modo di scrivere, il fatto di mischiare situazioni comiche e conversazioni profonde, filosofiche, aggiungendo anche scene piene d'amore e scene tragiche.
I liked the beginning but the whole book dragged. Nothing really happened and I just didn't have a good feeling while reading it.
