I loved this book. Very short and sweet. Read it in a couple of hours. The writing was very good and it was very interesting. Actually made my brows furrow while reading. That's usually how I measure my interest. Loved it!

I like the premise and I suspect the longer I sit on this the more the psychological intent will come into view. I think it is a grand metaphor!!
However, I’m glad this was such a quick read because some of it was pretty rough.

“Pa does not hear the scream over the engine. Ma dresses the wound, but Pa takes his shotgun and leaves the house.”
It’s a quick read, and probably meant to be deeper than I plan to think about, but the plot left a lot to be desired, the ending left a lot of holes, and I wanted more answers!
