The writing is excellent and the core idea intriguing. But the ending is unsatisfying (not so much so as to ruin the novella, unlike some other TOR shorts), and a pivotal scene is entirely depended on the premise that Molly's parents wouldn't have explained menstruation to her before it actually started. Given Molly's condition, that is extremely implausible.
Creepy, but in the way that makes you curious and want to keep reading.

This is a quick read which is good because once I started it, I couldn't put it down. The writing is sharp, the blood is plentiful, the body horror delightful. I loved Molly's parents a lot, and the glimpses of dystopian worldbuilding were delicious icing on the gory cake. Loved it.
