It was very enjoyable, but inbetween I was getting a bit tired of paige seeming stuck and repeating the same mistakes. But I guess her plot armor is thick as hell!
I just got too annoyed when she didn’t kill Jaxon when she had the chance. I couldn’t keep going.

I just can't get enough of this series, it's had me hooked since book one.
What I really loved about this one compared to the other three before this in the main series, is that the setting took us out of London and introduced a bunch of new characters for the readers to fall in love with (and also hate!). I was weary at first because I do absolutely love the original setting and characters, but it definitely helped the story move along nicely moving it away from the main location.
The new characters introduced were mostly absolutely wonderful - Ducos being my favourite of the new bunch - but it also brought back characters you love into the new setting, and also characters you love to hate (cough Jaxon cough).
The emotional impact this series has had on me has been quite significant, and I'm pretty sure it's now going to be a part of my personality for the rest of my life.

She almost dies like 7 times and it got old very quick. Fine otherwise, will be reading book 5
Short review because my feelings remain the same as book two.
This series gives me massive 2010s nostalgia to the Shadowhunters, Divergent, even the Hunger Games; but I think that’s part of the problem.
Nothing feels new or refreshing enough to continue and I haven’t felt attached to the characters in a way that would make me push through this.
