This book was absolutely phenomenal! I really enjoyed reading it and I devoured it quickly.
I’m like so excited for book 2 that I wish there was no wait.
It was action packed, dark, mysterious and exciting. It featured all kinds of shifters and magical elements. The world building was great as well, it was descriptive and easy to imagine.
I really liked the FMC, Aurelia, and all her personality. She had a few flaws but overall a well developed character. She had been through so much in her 20 years of life so far and it doesn’t look like she is free from these life altering moments just yet.
She had been framed for a crime that she didn’t commit, and when captured by Lyle, the deputy headmaster, was sent along to a “prison-school” named Animus Academy while awaiting her trial. Her mates, who want her dead, were on her tail when she was captured and they were brought along to the Academy with her.
Savage, Scythe, Xander and Lyle were also really well written, I’m glad there were little bits of backstory thrown in throughout so we could see how they developed into who they were in the present. Can’t wait to learn more about Lyle - and the mystery man - as well!
Another great thing this book had was awesome side characters. They were great additions to the story.

Lost of saying but not showing
One of the worst thing in books is when the author says something happend but dosent show us how. And this is what the book was missing, I didn't connect with the story because all of the story was missing. How she meets the guys, how she end up married, all her life as a healer, her time running from her father, the time they meet through Astral projection, the first time she reject them, when they made the blood pack. We never got to see all of this. And that just disappointing

Honestly I liked it. Wasn’t anything crazy but the writing was strong and I liked the characters and development.

All in all a good read. For my personal taste a little slow at times, but I got past those parts without too much of an issue
What I didn’t like:
As usual the one of the MMCs basically harasses the FMC until he suddenly realises that to be loved by his desires he has to actually be nice to her!!! (mind blowing revelation, I know.)
Once again follows the trope of a MMC being so against violence against women, yet has no issue hurting the FMC in one way or another
Aurelia is supposed to be the leader of the group yet constantly instinctively submits to the men. It’s not necessarily illogical, but it just made me kinda sigh. If you want the FMC to be submissive just make her submissive instead of making her technically the leader yet unable to, you know, lead.
What I liked:
Aurelia didn’t cower in fear the entire time and didn’t let her MMCs walk all over her
The side characters were fleshed out and had a personality, it made the world feel more realistic
The humor was good, there wasn’t too much of it but it made me chuckle at times
The plot itself was interesting and had me captivated
