DNF for know, will pick it back up when the last book is out

This a great start to the series! I love the way the author does her world building and the characters she creates.

Aurelia was the princess of the serpent court but was forced to live away from her family and to hide who she is from everybody by her father, Mace Saga. We kind of know exactly why but it does hint at what she possibly possess in her abilities that made her go into hiding sprinkled throughout this book. I do believe we’ll find out more later in the series. My favorite so far of her mates is Savage and it’s because of his support chicken or rooster, when Xander corrects him. That can change on who is my favorite or they’ll become all of my favorite.

That cliffhanger at the end tho… E.P Bali does a wonderful job at leaving you wanting more with her cliffhangers. Another examples of this is her Archer Princess and Warrior Midwife trilogies. I do highly recommend checking this series

ate this one up, it was everything I wanted out of a why choose academy shifter romance lol. I’m only upset that it’s not a complete series (cry) but will be moving on to the next books for sure.
yay for an aussie author!!!

The plot of this book is so interesting and I’m really excited to find out what happens next. I do think the romance is a little slow and if they could just communicate that would be great.

I absolutely loved this book, and ate up every page.

Aurelia is on the run after being charged with a murder and arson that she didn't commit. She is being hunted not only by 3 of her 5 rejected mates, but also Lyle, and Deputy Headmaster of Animus Academy, which is were all shifter's that need help "behaving and coexisting" with the humans to. After a long chase, she is finally caught, and her along with the 3 mates, Savage, Scythe, and Xander, get transported to the school. While she is there, it is a small chance for freedom from her oppressive and abusive father. That is, until the trial comes around.

While she is prepping for the trial, she is also dealing with her 3 rejected mates. She only rejected them because she is a rare breed, and people will do anything and give anything to have her. Things get heated between the group, and it starts to unravel.

While this book might not have the best plot line ever, it was fun to read and had me captivated right from the jump. I couldn't wait to see what happened next, and I loved the friendships that Aurelia formed while at the academy. While I hated to see her and her mates at each other's throats, it did add a nice level of angst and banter to the book.

I will definitely be continuing on with the series as I need to know what happens next!
