Not going to do a long review for this one because I'm lazy. Takes a bit to get to the actual list. More women's fic (self discovery) than romance. Tbh I HATED Dan. She deserved waaaayyyy better. He seems the type to punch to TV when his fave team loses.
This is one of Kelk's early books, and you can tell. The bare bones were there, but she has improved A LOT. Her writing and pacing is sooo much punchier now. And because of that, her jokes land better. Also, this book reminded me how far we've come PC-wise lol. Some dicey language used here that is no longer appropriate but was the norm in the lawless wasteland of the early 2000s.
Lastly, the poutine slander hurted but I forgive you
