I know YA is either hit or miss for people, but I like it! (if it's done correctly). This book was twisty from the beginning and had me questioning who the antagonist is. Overall almost all the characters are shitty/toxic in someway, but I don't think that's a bad thing for what the book is. Normally I don't like timelines that jump back and forth between the past & present, but I didn't mind it in this book (it actually made sense). The chapters were short and sweet - the way I like them. Not a bad book and would recommend if you're looking for a quick thriller read!

This thriller was fast paced and you didn’t want to put it down before you figured out what was going on BUT the characters were all difficult to like.

The story line had a lot of holes in it. Things didn’t always make sense.

Brooke comes from a high society family in a smaller town. She doesn’t go out since something happened a year ago. What happened and who did it is the basis of this book. I really liked how the author laid out everything for us as BEFORE and NOW. I would have rated it higher but I didn’t feel any connection with the characters and didn’t love the ending.

Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebooks for this ARC. I am definitely wanting to check out other books by this author. I really enjoyed the writing style.
