This was a really great read. I'm so impressed by the strength and quality of the writing. And I usually dislike books written in third person, but I must say this one was delightful - it was humorous and wonderful experiencing the story through Amina's eyes. I did have some nitpicks about plot choices but overall it was a truly enjoyable fantasy read.

Overall a fun pirate adventure!
However the pacing of the story felt slow even if the scenes were intense...
The characters are fun and have very distinctive personalities...I would watch this if it was made into a movie.

The start was slow, but it absolutely picked up. The adventures Amina goes on, the character development, and the world building are so well thought out. The writing style was enjoyable too. I’ll absolutely pick up the second book when it’s out.
