"Remember, today is the tomorrow you were worried about yesterday."

It is said that over 90% of our worries never come true. Yet, we spend so much energy worrying about what we do not have much control over i.e., the past and the future. How efficient would our minds become if we could stop worrying and actually live in the present?

How To Stop Worrying And Start Living by Dale Cargenie is one book that has brilliantly talked about this very important topic. In the book, he has talked about the negatives of worrying too much and suggested many ideas to overcome it. Although I did not find a lot of examples in the book much relevant to the current times, owing to the period it was actually written, the concepts are quite evergreen. What I loved about the book was that it was focused on working on the root causes of worry instead of just giving superficial tips that would only work short term.

I have applied a few of the ideas presented in the book and they have actually worked wonders for me. So, I would recommend it to everyone. Said that, I would not suggest reading the book in one go for the sake of reading but actually trying to understand and apply what is written.

Practical advice but at least half of the book is a bit dated. Provides an interesting glimpse into life in the 1900s.

It was ok, but not as good as "How to win friends". Didn't love the part about religion.
