Wow I loved this so much INCREDIBLE!!! The characters and their backstories wrecked me I am an emotional mess and I was the entire time I was reading this but wowzas I really loved this one. Definitely thought-provoking and also just super unique, I’ve never read anything like this. All the people who gave this negative reviews are flippin missing out bc this was SPECTACULAR!!!!
One complaint- the ending!!! It ended so quickly and vaguely, I needed another 20 pages. Everything is revealed right towards the end and then the story is just over!! This might not be a valid complaint because I’m so attached to the characters and I just wanted to see them thriving after everything sooo ummm yeah
ANYWAYS PLS READ THIS

underrated. please read.

This is one of the best books I’ve read in years.

A beautiful novel that deals with heavy topics. I liked reading about Arthur's journey and uncovering mysteries about his grandfather with him. I liked reading his grandfather's poems that were sprinkled between chapters.

this book really was so much more than i expected, and i think there’s a lot to gain from the story. the experiences of arthur, as well as the feelings of his father, and then the life of his grandpa are all personal and created by their view of the world and what was going on and this book made them come together at the end in a beautifully tragic way. i love this book a whole lot actually, and it is quite special to me now....
